First Communions 2026

We continue to pray for our eight children who will receive their first communion next Sunday. Please keep them in your prayers. The children will meet this Thursday the 4th of June at 3.30pm for a practice for their first communion.

Teas and Coffees

Unfortunately, there will be no teas and coffees next week because of the first communions.

The children and their families are invited to the house for treats and cake.

Information Sheets for all parishioners

“Thank you to all who have submitted their contact detail forms and to those who have offered their services. A gentle reminder to submit yours by the end of May 2026, as we plan to send out first emails in June. We will be in contact with the new volunteers soon.”

Railway Club Ceilidh

“Date for your diaries – Saturday 24 October 2026. It has been a wee while since we had a social gathering. To coincide with the opening date of St Mary’s in October 1934, we plan to hold a Ceilidh at the Railway Club in Inverlochy on 24/10/2026. More details to follow, including ticket sales, however we will be happy to collect any raffle prizes you can spare.”

SVDP

We are looking for volunteers to start an SVDP in the parish.

Please speak to Deacon Thomas.

Fr. Charles

A huge thankyou to Fr. Charles for saying the masses while I was away.

It was much appreciated.

Church Cleaning

There will be church cleaning in St. Mary’s on Friday the 5th of June after mass. Please come along and help to have the church sparkling for the first communions.

Fr. Paul Hackett S.J.

It is with great sadness that we announce the3 death of Fr. Paul Hackett at the age of 94.

Fr. Paul served many parishes in Argyll and the Isles. May his good soul rest in peace.
