Oban Meetings of the Clergy
All the clergy of the diocese gathered last week: the subjects we discussed were. The implementation of the synod, in our parishes. A discussion on Services of Word and Communion, and the input of the laity in pastoral work. Vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life, particularly in our diocese. As we have no one studying for the priesthood at the moment, it will take at least six or seven years before we have another priest ordained for the diocese. This will have a huge impact going forward in the future, of you the people of God. Safeguarding: We were brought up to date with our safeguarding training, which is so important in keeping us all safe.
Pastoral from the Bishop about the situation in the Holy Land
There is a pastoral letter from Bishop Brian about the situation in the Holy Land. Please take a letter which is at the back of the church.
Ecclesiastical Students Fund
Last Sunday there was a second collection for the Ecclesiastical Students Fund.
Thank you for your generosity, the total was £332.
Conforti Music Weekend
Next weekend from the 19th till the 21st of September myself and Deacon Thomas will be away with the diocesan choir. Please pray that this is a fruitful weekend. We will leave you in the very capable hands of Fr. Charles. Fr. David.
