Sick Housebound and those in Care Homes or in Hospital

A huge part of our pastoral work is taken up with visiting the sick and the housebound, which is a privilege to do. Unfortunately, we are often not informed of those who are in hospital or housebound, this makes it difficult to provide pastoral care for them. If you have anyone that you know who needs a pastoral visit, please get in touch with either,

Deacon Thomas or myself. Fr. David

Dental Work

Over the next few months, I must get considerable dental work done, this will mean travelling to Edinburgh on six to eight occasions. Unfortunately, this will mean I am away from the parish for short periods of time. Please bear with me as I get this work done.

Deacon Thomas Operation

Deacon Thomas would like to say a huge thank you for your kindness to him after his recent knee operation. He is convalescing at home and making progress every day.

Charlie McAuley R.I.P.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie McAuley. To Fr. Roddy and all his family, we assure them of our love and prayers, at this difficult time for them.

Charlie’s Requiem Mass will be held in Oban Cathedral on Wednesday the 19th of August at 10am. All are most welcome to attend.

Bishops Fund

There will be a second collection next Sunday for the Bishop’s Fund. Please be a s generous as you can.

Back to school

To our children and teachers who go back to school after the holidays this week. We pray that they go back refreshed from there well-earned break.
