St. Mary’s, Fort William

We have now received an estimated figure for the work to make the back wall secure, and the painting of the inside of the church. This will cost approximately £20,000.  I do realise that this not the best time to be asking for money, but this is essential work to the fabric of the church this work will start this Monday the 1st of November. This will mean that all weekday masses will take place in St. John’s until further notice. I am delighted to say that due to a very generous donation, out total is now standing at £5,750. Many thanks indeed.

Church Organ

Several people have asked me recently why we raised money for a new organ, and we do not have one. The simple reason is that the pandemic has made it extremely difficult to purchase the exact organ we are looking for. I can personally assure you that the monies raised £15,000, is still in a separate account waiting to be used for that purpose. Fr. David

Catholic Parishes of Lochaber Ceilidh

We will be holding a parish Ceilidh on Friday the 19th of November at 7pm in the Railway Club.

Hopefully we will be able to raise some money for the parishes, but more importantly just to get together, in a social setting with one another.

Mass for the Holy Souls

There will be a mass on Wednesday the 17th of November at 7pm in St. John’ Caol, to remember our loved ones who have gone to God. All are most welcome.

November List

We have a book of remembrance in each church to commemorate the Holy Souls. Those wishing to do this, if you just fill out your list, and put them in the envelope provided, and we will say a mass in their memory.
