First Communions 2026

We are excited to announce that we have several children again for First Communion this year. The parents and the children who are of Primary Four and above from all the schools in the area, and would like to make their first communion, are very welcome to come to the first meeting on March the 2nd at 3.45pm in St. Columba’s school.

Lady Chapel

As some of you may have noticed there has been work going on in the Lady Chapel with new curtains and a new altar. We are proposing to buy individual chairs to make it more comfortable and cosier for morning mass. These chairs are £100 each. If anyone would wish to sponsor a chair, please let myself know. As £2,000 is quite an expense for the parish.

Fr. David. We have already received £1,100 pounds towards the cost. Thank you.

St. Mary’s contact List

The Parish Council have proposed that we update our contact list, so that we have an UpToDate record of who is in the parish and their e-mail addresses and their phone numbers. This will make it far easier to communicate with everyone at the same time. Thanks in advance for your help in this matter. Fr. David.

Lent 2026

During Lent we will have Stations of the Cross every Wednesday at 6pm in the church.

And Lectio Divina in the church house at 6pm on Thursday, starting this week.

S.C.I.A.F

We welcome Marian Pallister this weekend who will talk to us about the good work of S.C.I.AF. There will be a second collection next week for this worthy cause.
