Donate System for your Parish and Diocese

Our Faith has given us all great comfort and hope during the Covid-19 pandemic. Naturally, parish life has been restricted in many ways and this will continue, to a greater or lesser extent, for some time. We thank you for your continuing fidelity to the Church and your parish. Some parishioners may have found the difficulty of giving their Offertory Collections stressful. We recognise that there is much uncertainty just now and you should not worry if you are presently unable to maintain your usual contributions. However, if you are able and wish to financially support the Church then making a Standing Order is the safest and easiest method of ensuring donations. However, the diocese has set up a ‘Donate System’ where you can donate directly to your parish, the diocese, or a number of partner Charities. The system is secure, and donations can be Gift Aided. To find out more please visit rcdai.org.uk or the RC Argyll and the Isles Facebook page.

Philip Bua

It was a great joy to have Philip with us in the parish. He thanks you the people for kindness and generosity towards him. Please keep him in your prayers as he returns to Rome.

Visiting the Sick and Housebound

Unfortunately, due to the latest Covid restrictions, we will no longer be doing house visits at this time. These are the regulations that have been given to us by Bishop Brian, we will keep you updated. If however the person who is housebound is seriously unwell, and needing the sacraments we are able to visit.

Finance and Fabric Committee’s

As restrictions come back into force, we have to look at the possibility of having the fabric and finance meetings, by Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. As we prepare for the winter, we have to look to the fabric of the churches and the finance of the parishes.

R.I.P. Joe MacColl

Many thanks to all who made the effort to line the streets and pay their respects to Joe. Thanks to Fr. Tim for a very prayerful and peaceful mass.
