Masses for next week

Monday and Saturday morning there will be no masses. Tuesday and Thursday there will be mass in St. John’s Caol at 10am, Wednesday and Friday there will be mass at 10.15am in St. Mary’s. Weekend Masses as follows. Streaming of masses

For those still unable to attend mass, we will continue to stream mass on “Friends of St. Mary’s” Facebook site. Masses will only be streamed on a Sunday at 11.15am. There will no longer be daily masses streamed.

Confessions

There will be confessions in St. Mary’s every Saturday evening before the Vigil Mass from 5.15pm to 5.45 pm. And on request at any other time.

Synod

Grateful thanks to all who took part in our first meeting on the Synod. It was a very open and frank discussion, and we look to the future with confidence. It was felt that it would be beneficial to have a meeting in St. John’s Caol. We had a very fruitful meeting in St. John’s last Tuesday, and there is separate sheet with points discussed at the meeting.  

 

Organist

With Kevin leaving to go to pastures new, we are in need of an organist to play on Sundays at St. Mary’s, and as required. If anyone knows of anyone who could help with this post, please contact Fr. David. There will be a salary commensurate to experience, and the time that they are able to give to the role.

New Organ for St. Mary’s

It is wonderful to see the new organ at last in place. It will be installed properly between the 12th and the 14th of July. It is proposed that the organ will be blessed at the Sunday mass on Sunday the 17th of July, and in thanksgiving we will have a recital on the 17th of July at 6pm, with tea and sandwiches afterwards.

St. John’s Cleaning of the Church

Church cleaning is on the first Thursday of every month, after 10am mass. Please come along and help if you can.

Baptism

Many congratulations on the Baptism of Willow Belle Macpherson, may the joy of the Lord be always with her.

Official Prayer for the World Meeting of Families

At the back of the church are prayer cards for the World Meeting of Families. Please help yourself to one and pray for the success of the meeting.

Cille Choirill Mass

There will be mass in Cille Choirill, on Sunday the 3rd of July at 3pm. All are welcome.

School Holidays

We wish all teachers and pupils a very well-earned break for the summer, and hope that they come back refreshed.

Parish Pastoral Council

It is proposed that we start a Parish Pastoral Council which will be one council for the three parishes. Anyone wishing to assist on this council, please speak to Deacon Thomas, or Fr. David.
