Finance Meeting

A huge thank you to those who came along to our Parish Finance Meeting. You will be glad to hear that we are still solvent, but with the winter coming up, we are always looking at ways of bringing in extra funds, if anyone has any good ideas. We have around £25k in our current account with £7k lodged with the diocese.

Pastoral from the Bishop about the situation in the Holy Land

There is a pastoral letter from Bishop Brian about the situation in the Holy Land. Please take a letter which is at the back of the church.

Jubilee Cross for the Year of Hope

We have received the Jubilee Cross for the Year of Hope. Please feel free to reverence the cross and remain hopeful in this year of hope. It is hoped that in the winter months for mass we can use the Lady Chapel for mass, which is easier to heat.

Teas and Coffees St. Mary’s

This Sunday there will be teas and coffees in St. Mary’s Parish House. All are welcome.

Fr. David Yearly Retreat

I will be away from the parish from Saturday the 4th of October to Saturday the 11th of October in Ireland. Please keep me in your prayers, as I will in yours. Fr. David. If there is any emergencies at this time, please contact Fr. Charles in Caol.

Mod 2025

As you all will know, the National MOD runs from the 10th till the 18th of this month.

This is a wonderful event for Lochaber to be hosting. Unfortunately, for a few days there will be no masses or Eucharistic services in the church to accommodate the competitors.

I realise that this is an inconvenience for those who come to daily mass, but there is mass in Caol just two miles away, and it is only for four days. Many thanks with your help over this time.

There will be mass in St. Mary’s on Monday the 13th of October at 10.15am, Tuesday the 14th to Friday the 17th inclusive there will be no mass in St. Mary’s. Mass will be usual at the weekends.
