Liturgy Works Conforti
We have the Good News that Liturgy Works is hoping to start up again I have taken the bold step of booking Conforti for weekend of the 19th and 21st of September. The price is £180 full board for the weekend, I do realise that this is more expensive, but it is five years since we met, and prices have gone up substantially, deposits of £50 should be deposited to the bank account, Mrs. D. Evangelisation Group
It is proposed to start and evangelisation group, to try and encourage the growth of faith in our church community. Anyone interested please get in touch with Fr. David or Deacon Thomas.
Peter’s Pence
This Sunday there will be a second collection for the work of Peter’s Pence which is the charity of Pope Leo, as sign to us all of share in the Universal Church.
Children’s Liturgy
There will be no Children’s Liturgy for the month of July. The Children’s Liturgy will reconvene on Sunday the 3rd of August.
Finance St. Mary’s
The good news is the card machine has been reinstalled at the back of the church, and you can use it to give to the parish. If you are unsure or unable how to use it, please ask one of the pass keepers. I am very grateful for those who have signed up to a standing order, it makes the finances of the parish easier to handle. A summary of some of the outgoings of the parish last year.
Heating for parish £26,000
Levy to diocese £16,000
Insurance and Council Tax £8,000
As you will see these are only four bills that have to be paid and come to £50,000. This is without running the parish car, repairs, food, phones, internet, photocopier, grass cutting, etc, etc. our total parish income runs around £60k, so there is a growing deficit every year. There will be Parish Finance Meeting arranged to discuss the figures above.
