·         Monday: Requiem Mass for Donald MacDougall 11am St. John’s Caol

·         Tuesday: 10:00 am Mass at St. John’s Caol.

·         Wednesday: Requiem Mass for Andy Maguire 11am St. John’s Caol

·         Thursday: 10am Mass St. John’s Caol

·         Friday: 10.15am St. Mary’s

·         Saturday: The Vigil at St. Mary’s at 6pm

Donald MacDougall R.I.P

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald to his family and friends we offer our love and prayers at this sad time. Donald’s Requiem Mass will be held on Monday the 2nd of October at 11am, in St. John’s Caol. All are most welcome.

Andy Maguire R.I.P.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andy to his family and friends we offer our love and prayers at this sad time. Andy’s service will be held on Wednesday the 4th of October at 11am, in St. John’s Caol. All are most welcome.

Fr. Walter

As most of you now know Fr. Walter will be coming to the parishes of St. John’s Caol, and St. Mary’s and St. Finnan, Glenfinnan on Friday the 27th of October. It is hoped that by that time the parish house in Caol will be vacant, and Fr. Walter will stay there for the foreseeable future. This is quite a change for all of us. I will no longer be your parish priest. Fr. Walter will be in charge of both Caol and Glenfinnan, The Bishop has asked that the mass times at the weekend do not change as he would like in the case of illness or holidays that the parishes can still be served by one priest. Fr. Walter will need help from you the parishioners to give him time to settle in and make the house comfortable for him. Nearer the time we will be asking for help from the community, please if you can do your best to help us and Fr. Walter to settle into Lochaber, so that his time here may be fruitful.

John Haggerty

A huge thank you to John for the work that he has done on the speakers in St. Mary’s and for setting up a temporary system. This is very much appreciated. It is hoped in time to look at getting a new system installed.

Baptism of Lilith Esme Johnston

Many congratulations to Lilith who was baptised in St. John’s Caol yesterday. May she grow in the love of the Lord.

Cleaning of Churches

The churches will be cleaned as follows.

St. John’s Caol, after mass on Thursday the 5th of October.

St. Mary’s Fort William, after mass on Friday the 6th of October.
