Masses for next week
Monday and Saturday morning there will be no masses. Tuesday and Thursday there will be mass in St. John’s Caol at 10am, Wednesday and Friday there will be mass at 10.15am in St. Mary’s. Weekend Masses as follows. The Vigil St. Mary’s, 6pm, Sunday morning, St. John’s 10am, St. Mary’s 11.15am, and Glenfinnan, 1.30pm, the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month
Streaming of masses
For those still unable to attend mass, we will continue to stream mass on “Friends of St. Mary’s” Facebook site. Masses will only be streamed on a Sunday at 11.15am. There will no longer be daily masses streamed.

Confessions
There will be confessions in St. Mary’s every Saturday evening before the Vigil Mass from 5.15pm to 5.45 pm. And on request at any other time.
Fr. Gerry Hanlon
We thank Fr. Gerry for his help while I was away on holiday. I thoroughly enjoyed my break but it is lovely to be back among you again.
Painting in the parishes
A huge thank you to all who gave of their time and talents to paint the back of the house in St. Mary’s, your hard work and dedication was very much appreciated.
Official Prayer for the World Meeting of Families
At the back of the church are prayer cards for the World Meeting of Families. Please help yourself to one and pray for the success of the meeting.
Parish Pastoral Council
It is proposed that we start a Parish Pastoral Council which will be one council for the three parishes. Anyone wishing to assist on this council, please speak to Deacon Thomas, or Fr. David.
Bishop Brian, Pastoral Visit
We welcome Bishop Brian to the parishes of Glenfinnan this Sunday and thank him for being among us.
Pilgrimage to Carfin for the relics of St. Bernadette
It is proposed that we will have a day of pilgrimage to Carfin in the diocese of Motherwell. To venerate the relics of St. Bernadette, and to also have a tour of the grotto, and some lunch. The proposed date for this is the Friday the 30th of September leaving around 7.30am.
St. Columba’s School, Caol
We wish all pupils teachers and staff a very successful new term. There will be tea and coffee on Thursday the 25th from 2.15 till 4pm, all are very welcome.
Sick and Retired Priests
Next Sunday there will be a second collection at all masses, for sick and retired priests of the diocese.
Sacrament of Confirmation
Those children who wish to go forward and prepare for their sacrament of confirmation, if you could please speak to Mrs. Cameron, as soon as possible.
Children’s Liturgy
We are hoping to restart the children’s liturgy again in St. Mary’s but for safeguarding regulations. We will need another two adults that have done the safeguarding course to help out. This is not a difficult course to go through, but without this there will be no Children’s Liturgy.
