SECOND COLLECTION FOR OUR SICK AND RETIRED PRIESTS
Our annual second Collection to help with the support of our sick and retired priests takes place over the weekend of 20th August. Presently the diocese helps support six priests who ministered both in parishes throughout our diocese as well as serving the Church in national and world-wide roles. The budget for this year is £109,911 and we are grateful for last year’s Collection which raised £7,234.25. We thank you for any donation you can give this year. Bishop Brian
Visitors to Lochaber
We give a warm Lochaber welcome to those who are visiting us from all different parts of the world and pray that your time with us is refreshing and joyful.
Transport to Mass
A number of people have mentioned to me that they cannot get to mass because they have no one to take them. If anyone is in this position, please get in touch with myself or Deacon Thomas, and we will arrange a lift. Fr. David.
Considering becoming a Catholic
If anyone is considering the possibility of becoming a Catholic and coming into full communion with the church do not hesitate to get in touch with myself or Deacon Thomas. Fr. David.
NEWSLETTER ANNOUNCEMENT
LED BY THE Spirit Phase 2 – Consultation on our Diocesan Resources
This coming Thursday Led by the Spirit’s Second Consultation Phase will begin. The focus will be our Diocesan resources. Reading, reflecting, and discussing the information provided will help us better understand Argyll and the Isles today and its likely projection for the foreseeable future.
The information will appear on ledbythespirit.rcdai.org.uk or through the diocesan website rcdai.org.uk Please visit the site and learn more about our parishes and diocese.
It is important to remember that in Phase Two we should not seek solutions. Rather the purpose of Phase Two is to assimilate information about our diocese and its parishes, to acknowledge both the many resources we have but also those which are depleted or even lacking.
